Chemical engineering unit operation level

The same heroic spirit which sparked the industrial reconstruction was, however, operative also in universities, and perhaps even more so and also Italian universities rebuilt rapidly from the ashes of war, and by 1950 they had reached—physically—the pre-war level. Furthermore, cultural ferments were active in the new democratic life of Italy, and a major evolution was in the making. In 1950, Italian academic chemical engineering was at least 30 years behind the United States in its cultural evolution but there were the seeds for a spectacular growth, which in the next 20 years would in feet take place and succeed in filling the gap. [Pg.218]

Study of transport processes of momentum, heat, and mass and unit operations. In this plan, most of the complete text covering the principles of the transport processes in Part 1 and the unit operations in Part 2 are covered. This plan could be applicable primarily to chemical engineering and also to other process engineering fields in a one and one-half year course of study at the junior and/or senior level. [Pg.934]
