Macrodefect free cement

Y. Ohama, T. Kobayashi and K. Demura Improvement in water resistance of macrodefect-free (MDF) cements by application of hot press molding process (in Japanese). Journal of the Society of Materials Science, Japan Vol. 50, No.8 (2001), pp.873-876. [Pg.14]

The term MDF cement is misleading, as this is not a cement but a cementitious, polymer-modified and specially processed material. The designation MDF stands for macrodefect-free, and it originated at a time when it was believed that the absence of macrodefects was solely responsible for the high strengths of this material. [Pg.217]
