Shortly after the discussions with SSF several team members attended CrisisCamp in Washington DC, and met a variety of stakeholders interested in using technology to help with humanitarian relief projects. John Crowley invited several of the team members to participate in a STAR-TIDES sponsored exercise at Camp Roberts to simulate deploying technology for humanitarian relief in harsh climates (no power, no Internet etc.).

Robert van Pelt and Deborah Dwork, in their history of the city of Auschwitz, deal only superficially with the subject of the concentration camp,92 and van Pelt s more recent book is perhaps a bit too narrowly focused on homicidal gassings and does not really go beyond what Pressac already presented.69... 

J.-C. Pressac gives the output of these blowers at 8,000 m3/h, but without proving it (together with Robert van Pelt in Yisrael Gutman, Michael Berenbaum (ed.), Anatomy of the Auschwitz Death Camp, Indiana University Press, Bloomington 1994, pp. 210, 232). Perhaps he simply crudely added the output of the two blowers together, which is impermissible, since the blowers did not work in parallel, but rather, in series (behind each other).

The most detailed documentation on the eyewitness testimonies on the gassings in the western camps so far is the Second Leuchter Report,101 prepared under the leadership of Robert Faurisson. This booklet is an indispensable source of information for anyone interested in this matter. 

Additionally, Robert N. Proctor has written The Nazi War on Cancer (Princeton University Press, Princeton, NJ, 1999). Among the items reported is that Nazi scientists were the first to link smoking and cancer. Other policies and discoveries that predated the rest of the world were healthier workplaces, restrictions against asbestos, pesticides, and food additives, as well as improvements in diet and lifestyles. (Nevertheless, there are reports that Hitler was addicted to sugar and sweets.) This contrasts sharply with the unmentionable atrocities of inhuman medical experiments and the death camps.

Camp (1895-1971), examined the turbulence effects on sedimentation in sewage treatment stations. Then Dobbins held a variety of positions in academia and eonsulting. From 1936 to 1939 he taught at Roberts College in Turkey, and from 1940 to 1950 he held positions with a number of Boston consulting firms.
