CAMEO ALOHA

EPA and NOAA, ALOHA User s Manual (http //www.epa.gov/ceppo/cameo/aloha.htm). [Pg.773]

Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations/Areal Locations of Hazardous Atmospheres (CAMEO /ALOHA ), sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). [Pg.52]

United States Environmental Protection Agency and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. 1996. ALOHA (Areal Locations of Hazardous Atmospheres), MARPLOT 3.1, and CAMEO (Computer-Aided Management of Emergency Operations) User s Manuals. Chemical Preparedness and Prevention Office, United States Environmental Protection Agency, Washington, DC, and Hazardous Materials Response and Assessment Division, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Seattle, WA. March. [Pg.211]

The ALOHA version 5.2.1 dispersion modeling incorporated as a part of CAMEO uses IDHL values as a default condition. The user may override these values and model to some other toxic endpoint. [Pg.393]

Under a U.S. Department of Energy Contract, Western Research Institute (WRI) of Laramie, Wyoming, surveyed over 100 spill accidents where public evacuations occurred and determined a need for responders to have a hand-held computer tool that incorporates a chemical database, information on respirators and protective clothing, and dispersion modeling capabilities. WRI noted that even though communities sometimes had modeling capabilities such as CAMEO or ALOHA available, the models were not used at the time of the spill. The people familiar with the computer software were not available at the time of the incident, and sometimes responders were unable to determine the chemicals and amounts released. [Pg.399]

ALOHA is an atmospheric dispersion model used for evaluating releases of hazardous chemical vapors. See the following web site for more information http //vjvjvj.epa.g3v/ceppo/ cameo/what.htm haz. [Pg.50]
