Cabot s hydrothermal BT-08 powder (Cabot Performance Materials, Boyertown, PA), having a specific surface area of 8.5 mVg, a barium/titanium ratio of 0.998, and a median particle size of 0.24 pm was used for the kinetic study of Ba + leaching from BT particles. Different PALs at 0.5 wt% loading were added to the BT slurry to observe the effect of a PAL on the kinetics of Ba + leaching at different aging times up to 96 h at room temperature.
