Burzynski therapy

Interestingly, the anticancer agents or antineoplastons as used in the Burzynski therapy are mainly polypeptides. And polypeptides were involved in the anticancer therapy described in Stephen S. Hall s A Commotion in the Blood (1997a), cited elsewhere. There are myriad different polypeptides, however, for the combinations... 

A further discovery is that garlic and other vegetables contain a polypeptide of unknown structure that acts as an enzyme inhibitor (Reuter, Koch, and Lawson, in Koch and Lawson, 19%, p. 179 Lawson, in Koch and Lawson, 1996, p. 79). Certain polypeptides are assumed or presumed to possess anticancer activity, as per the Burzynski therapy. 

Antineoplastons, the active anticancer agents in Burzynski s therapy, are peptides or relatively short-chain proteins, which are formed from nitrogen-containing amino acids. The term antineoplaston literally means anticancer. (Burzynski Therapy is also said to use phenyl acetate, otherwise known as a solvent.)...

According to Stanislaw Burzynski and his Antineoplaston Therapy, the body s nitrogen content is in the form of amino acid derivatives that are said to inhibit the growth of cancer cells (Walters, 1993, p. 17). These substances are thought to form a biochemical defense against cancer by reprogramming the defective cells. The action is different from that of the immune system, which destroys defective cells. 

Ausubel mentions therapies such as Krebiozen, the Gerson diet, Essiac tea, Coley s Toxins, the Hoxsey Therapy, and Stanislaw Burzynski s antineoplastons, etc., a number of which are further described, for instance, by Moss (1992) and Walters (1993). These therapies have aU been involved in govemment-led prosecutions.
