Building assembly

Fireproof - Resistant to a specific fire exposure essentially nothing is absolutely "fireproof but some materials or building assemblies are resistant to damage or fire penetration at certain level of fire exposures that may develop in the petroleum industry.

In industrial and commercial construction, numerous building assemblies have been used successfully for many years. As in residential insulation, roof insulation is the most effective. The roof deck is usually flat and requires new waterproofing. In conventional overdeck assembly, the insulation is located above the roof deck structure and is covered by the built-up roof. Other techniques for roof insulation include membrane assemblies (IRMA) [102], underdeck assemblies, and structural panel assemblies.

Poles are grouped and connected in pairs for forming a dipole as explained in Chapter 6. The formation of multipoles, when poles are in greater number, has been described in Chapter 8. The method of assembling dipoles (or multipoles) of the same energy variety to form an assembly has been discussed in Chapter 9. What remains to be discussed is the inclusion of nonstandard dipoles such as CPE components and the way to build assemblies with some identical dipoles. 

One of the best sources of information showing the wide variety of building assemblies and giving the fire-resistance ratings of beams, columns, floors, walls, and partitions is the Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Fire Resistance Directory, published annually. 

Processors expense allocations can vary even more widely than those of distributors, depending on their size, the extent to which their operations are fully integrated, and whether they do custom, proprietary, captive work, or some combination of the foregoing.
