Numerous studies have shown that students have great difficulties when trying to grasp concepts such as that of the molecule and the atom, i.e., when trying to move from the macro to the submicro level, and vice versa. Various researchers (e.g. Abraham, Williamson, Westbrook, 1994 Brook, Briggs, Driver, 1984, Haidar Abraham, 1991, Lee, Eichinger, Anderson, Berkheime, 1993, Novick Nuss-baum, 1981) have investigated students alternative conceptions. Herron (1978), Johnstone (1991) and Tsaparhs (1997) have stated the position that students have difficulties with concepts and topics relevant to the structure of matter. 

Integration of Eq. (6) for S02 in Table V estimates the conversion achieved. Simulation of periodic symmetrical switching between a reactant mixture and air gave an estimate of 99.4% at 12 min after the switch to the S03/S02 reactant mixture in reasonable agreement with the overall conversion of 98.8% measured by Briggs et al. (1977). With respect to model sensitivity, it was found that bed midpoint temperature was sensitive to the wall and gas to particle heat transfer coefficients. An extensive study of sensitivity, however, was not undertaken.

Administration of APDs can require the use of concomitant agents to help control EPS. Two studies suggest a possible association between benztropine exposure and major malformations (Heinonen et ah, 1977 Briggs et ah, 1998). One of these studies also suggests a link between first-trimester exposure to trihexyphenidyl and minor malformations (Heinonen et ah, 1977). Conflicting reports exist about the teratogenic risk of diphenhydramine. One study supports an association between diphenhydramine use in the first trimester and oral clefts (Saxen, 1974), while other studies do not report an increased risk for major congenital anomalies (Heinonen et ah, 1977 Aselton et ah, 1985).

The most-studied enzyme in this context is chymotrypsin. Besides being well characterized in both its structure and its catalytic mechanism, it has the advantage of a very broad specificity.
