Roger Boisjoly, the Challenger Accident, and Whistle-Blowing... [Pg.323]

I want to describe my impressions of Roger Boisjoly, his role in what happened, and how he interacted with his own management. Roger spoke extremely passionately indeed about his involvement. I felt that it mattered to him to persuade us of his version of events, and maybe to atone for the guilt he felt for those events. He seemed to be haunted by what had happened he spoke with a deep conviction that he had been part of a dreadful accident that was in some way shameful to him, to his company Morton Thiokol, to NASA, and to the United States. He had only been an extra in a much larger drama, but he acted as if he were carrying the guilt for the whole nation. [Pg.323]
