Blue light-filter

The principal features of an integral tri-pack are shown in Figure 8. The color records are stacked in the order shown, with the red record on the bottom, the green record next, and the blue record on the top. The blue record is on the top because it is necessary to interpose a blue light filter to remove... [Pg.471]

The titanium concentrations in the catalyst fiactions were determined via FEK colorimeter with a blue light filter in a cell with a 50 mm thick absorbing layer. A K TiF solution containing 1 x Ift g Ti/mL was used as a standard. [Pg.30]

Two these carotenoids might act as antioxidants and as a blue light filter for their protection of the underlying tissues against the phototoxic damage [43 a, 43b, 44]. [Pg.55]

As well as reducing the potential for photooxidation, the blue-light filtering by MP may also reduce glare, increase contrast reduce chromatic aberration, and improve visual acuity. [Pg.3933]

Figure 12 Optical imaging of blood vessels in the mouse ear following tail vein injection of the nanoparticles (10 mg) (a) blood vessels imaged with a blue light filter, (b) upconversion image with excitation at 980 mn and a laser power density of 550 mW cm , (c) fluorescence image of the carbocyanine dye with excitation at 737 mn, and (d) merged image of the upconversion and fluorescence signals. Both the upconversion and carbocyanine fluorescence images were taken with an exposure time of 10 s. (Reproduced from Ref. 57 with permission of Tlie Royal Society of Chemistry.)... Black-and-white camera film, in the old days of film photography, was very sensitive to blue light but not to red light. Blue skies would often show very little detail, because the film couldn t record all that it was seeing. To compensate, photographers would put a red filter on the lens, darkening the sky enough that the film could record its fluffy clouds. [Pg.47]
