Schmidt method, Binder

In this first phase of the work the explicit finite difference method of Binder-Schmidt was applied W other methods being examined are the method of Dufort and Frankel (9) and orthogonal collocation (10).

This technique has been described as a general method of studying protein-protein interactions as well as a method for investigating the three-dimensional structure of individual proteins (Muller et al., 2001 Back et al., 2003 Dihazi and Sinz, 2003 Sinz, 2003 Sinz, 2006). It also has been used for the study of the interactions of cytochrome C and ribonuclease A (Pearson et al., 2002), to investigate the interaction of calmodulin with a specific peptide binder (Kalkhof et al., 2005a Schmidt et al., 2005), and for probing laminin self-interaction (Kalkhof et al., 2005b). 

Native starches are used as disintegrants, diluents, and wet binders. However, their poor flow and high lubricant sensitivity make them less favorable in direct compression. Different chemical, mechanical, and physical modifications of native starches have been used to improve both their direct compression and controlled-release properties (Sanghvi, 1993 van Aerde and Remon, 1988). Schinzinger and Schmidt (2005) used potato starch as an excipient and compared its granulating behavior with a-lactose-monohydrate and di-calcium phosphate anhydrous in a laboratory fluidized bed granulator using statistical methods.
