This controversial version of the Multi-regional Theory dates to 1976 but is now supported by studies in Asia and Africa of the YAP haplot5 e of the male Y-chromosome, passed from father to son, and the beta-globin gene on chromosome eleven inherited from both parents. Variations at chromosome twenty-one also suggest that there were three distinct areas of human development.These were Europe, Asia and Oceania.
