BENCHPAR project

A Bench Mark Test (BMT) has been undertaken as part of the DECOVALEX and EU BENCHPAR projects to explore the impact of coupled glaciation processes on the lithosphere, and to determine the likely magnitudes of some effects at repository depths. 

The works performed in this paper were financially supported by the international DECOVALEX III and BENCHPAR (through EU) projects. 

One of the workpackages in the EC-funded project BENCHPAR addresses the problem of upscaling in the context of performance assessment. This paper presents the results of the work performed by the team from the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia. 

This work is part of the INERIS contribution to work package 3 (WP3) of the European project BENCHPAR. The purpose of WP3 is the better understanding the impact of upscaling on the THM processes on Performance Assessment of nuclear waste disposal problems.
