Steinbuhl yellow (Steinbilhlergelb) is given by Rose (1916) as a synonym for baryta yellow (barium chromate). Kiihn and Curran (1986), while confirming the relationship to barium chromate, also state that Steinbuhler Gelb was applied to calcium chromate (qq.v.) in Germany.
