Archivists and librarians have helped me in many ways, especially in the Australian National University the Australian National Library the Biblio-theque nationale de France the Bibliotheque de L Arsenal the Archives Nationales the British Library the British Museum the Bodleian Library, Oxford the Ashmolean Library, Oxford Torre Abbey, Torquay the Huntington Library, California the Archivio de Pesaro the Staat Archivs in Basel and the Bibliotheque de la ville de Strasbourg. [Pg.8]

In the late 1970 s and 1980 s, other telemedicine projects funded through the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Library of Medicine, the Memorial University of Newfoundland, and the Australian government took place in Nebraska, Alaska, and Australia. These projects focused on the provision of primary care, specialty care, and psychiatric services to distant or underserved communities. [Pg.1797]

General scientific societies in the Commonwealth include the Royal Society of Canada (National Research Council Building, Sussex Drive, Ottawa 2). Founded 1882 and organized in live sections of which one covers the mathematical, chemical and physical sciences, the Society publishes its Transactions and has an important library of60,000 volumes. The Australian Academy of Science (Gordon Street, Canberra City) was founded in 1954 to promote scientific knowledge, and the Royal Society of New Zealand in Wellington in 1867. [Pg.176]
