Without substantial artistic talent, depicting organic reaction mechanisms on surfaces is difficult. Over the years, a variety of methods have been invented and used with differing successes. Frequently used is an asterisk, an M, or sometimes the symbol of the metal catalyst to designate a surface catalytic... 

The author remains indebted to Victoria S wift, the director of the art department at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences for her marvelous artistic talent in completing many of the diagrams and to Betty Ann Karolski, the associate director, Biomedical Communications Information Technology Services at the University of Nebraska Medical Center for her support in completing this book. 

How these two planets interact influences your artistic talents, your sociability, and your ability to attract what you love — particularly with regard to relationships, money, and possessions. 

Every sign has its complement of artists. But the all-time greats — geniuses like Leonardo da Vinci and Pablo Picasso — belong to a category all their own. Here are some indicators of artistic talent ... 

Frida Kahlo struggled with heart-rending difficulties during her short life, but lack of artistic talent was not among them. 

It s what you need to get started quickly, safely and with success. After that, how far you go in this wonderful pastime - or for some, a business - is up to you. Instruction in any reputable glassblowing studio would be a great way to build on what you learn here. Nothing succeeds like hands-on experience over a long period of time. A bit of artistic talent doesn t hurt either. 

Da Vinci s more formal education began when he became an apprentice in the studio of the sculptor and painter Andrea del Verrocchio in Florence. The artist immediately recognized da Vinci s rare artistic talent and introduced him to his patron, Lorenzo il Magnifico de Medici. Soon after, da Vinci became a part of the Medici court and, in so doing, was exposed to a unique intersection of art and science known as the Medici effect (see Section 2.5). 

Considerable effort was expended to insure that no artistic talent is required in structural input. A reasonable amount of inaccuracy is permitted in pointing to an atom or bond. LHASA determines what was intended and acts accordingly. There is no need to worry about consistency or precision of bonds or angles. With the one exception of indicating cis-trans isomerism around double bonds, it makes no difference how distorted the structure is input.
