Additives for a rechargeable lithium battery electrolyte capable of improving charge and discharge characteristics and cycle life characteristics have been described (93). These are aromatic compounds bearing an isothiocyanate group. Suitable isothiocyanates are summarized in Table 2.5 and shown in Figure 2.25. [Pg.90]

The aromatic compound may be included in an amount of about 0.01-1% based on the total amount of the rechargeable lithium battery electrolyte.
