Approaches to Nonlinear Dynamics in Polymeric Systems

We propose three approaches to creating nonlinear dynamical systems with polymers  

1) Couple polymers and polymer-forming reactions to other nonlinear systems (Type 1). 

2) Create a dynamical system using the inherent nonlinearities in polymeric 

3) Polymer systems are invariably characterized by polydispersity of the molecular weight distribution. One should be able to exploit the distribution of polymer lengths to ampHfy nonhnear effects in polymer systems, perhaps due to the molecular weight dependence of the diffusion coefficient. We know of no experimental work, but there has been a theoretical work considering such an effect on ester interchange reactions [56]. 

Although this system is interesting and has provided unexpected results, nothing useful can be accomplished with it. If we were seeking periodic polymerization, we
