Paw edema induced in rats by kaolin and carrageenan was potentiated by ramipril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, but pretreatment of rats with 10 mg/kg bromelain, intravenous administered, completely prevented this potentiation by ramipril [91].
