The rate constants shown are those at 298 K recommended by Atkinson et al. (1997a, 1997b). At concentrations of NO and N02 of 1 ppb, respectively, and of 03 of 100 ppb, which might be found in moderately polluted atmospheres, the lifetime of NH2 with respect to reaction with 02 is > 30 s and those with respect to reaction with NO, N02, and 03 are about 2-3 s. It appears likely, therefore, that the amidogen radical, NH2, once formed, will not react with 02 as one might expect at first glance, but rather with other atmospheric constituents. [Pg.287]

Tbbss compounds are formed by the substitution of amidogen (NH,) for the oxatylio hydroxyl of organic acids. They are most conveniently written on the diadelphio type, but may also be formulated upon the ammonia type. [Pg.372]

The diamides may be regarded as derived om two molecules of ammonia, by the substitution of a dyad negative radical for two atoms of hydrogen or they may bo considered as formed by the substitution of amidogen for the hydroxyl contained in the two atoms of oza l in dibasic acids —... [Pg.374]

Ihe primaiy triamides maj be regarded as derived om tribasio aoida bjr the substitution of amidogen for the hjrdroxyl contained in the three atoms of oxatyl of these acids, or as derived from three molecules of ammonia by the displacement of three atoms of hydrogen by the residue of a tribasio acid. A good example of a triamide is fOHHo(COAd)... [Pg.375]

N. A. E. Millon, and G. Forchhammer supposed that the sulphur is combined either with amidogen, NH2, or with nitrogen. H. SchiS regarded the compound NHs.S02 as a thionaminic acid, NH2.S02H and it may be called amidosulphinic or amidosulphurous acid, and M. Schumann disoussed the formula... [Pg.634]

Photolysis of HN3-C2H6 has been studied in the vapour phase at 313 nm and 30 °C, and amidogen radicals produced by flash photolysis of NH3 highly diluted in Ar are used to measure the absolute rate constant for the transformation... [Pg.208]

The essential difference between the mechanisms proposed by Husain and Nor-rish and by Takeyama and Miyama is the presumed result of the attack of amidogen, NH2, by O2. Husain and Norrish proposed the reaction... [Pg.99]

The major source of atmospheric amidogen radicals is ammonia, which plays an important role in neutralizing acids in the atmosphere.8 Ammonia is produced by biological processes and hence exists in both clean and polluted... [Pg.205]
