A disadvantage of the portable flame thrower was the limited capacity of its fuel tanks. During battle they often ran dry, leaving operators with the choice of going to the rear for more fuel or abandoning the weapons. To get around this objection the CWS attempted to increase the capacity. [Pg.149]
