Alumination directed

Alumina, in alkynol hydration-dehydration reactions, 6, 841 Aluminate organic liquids, characteristics, 1, 852 Alumination, direct, aromatic rings, 9, 267 Aluminum(III) alkyl compounds... [Pg.52]

Electrolysis. GalHum can be extracted by direct electrolysis of the aluminate solution at a strongly agitated mercury cathode. The recovery from a sodium gallate solution resulting from the carbonation process is another possibiHty. This process is probably no longer operative because of the environmental problems associated with the mercury. [Pg.160]

The second technique involves direct sampling of the reactor effluent (Figure 5-2). In this technique, a sample of reactor effluent is collected in an aluminized polyester bag for separation and analysis. [Pg.142]

In such complex system as aluminosilicate precursor gels, various lifetime components can appear reflecting material structure. The gel structure is a result of direct interaction of cations with silicate, aluminate and aluminosilicate anions, redistribution of charges and electron density over the system of aluminosiloxane bonds with effect on the formation of different structural units [24],... [Pg.43]

Adjacent, but separated from this composition commences the 17 X series which continues to a very nearly non-aluminous end-member. It is assumed that the series is incomplete in this direction (i.e., at the stevensite composition which is more silica rich, (Mg2 g Si ) (Mg is QCOH. nHjO This is deduced from experiments in the system MgO-SiO2 H20 which do not produce a montmorillonite at high pressure above 250°C (Johannes, 1969 ... [Pg.71]

The relationship between aluminous sepiolite and the magnesian form is not at all clear as yet. The question of whether or not aluminous sepiolite can be precipitated directly from solution should be posed since alumina concentration in alkaline solutions (pH 7-9) is assumed to be quite low. For the present, palygorskite should probably be considered as a phase produced through solid-solution equilibria due to its high alumina content. Possibly most sepiolites are produced in this way. Even the inonomineralic deposits in saline lakes or deep sea cores contain sepiolites with high alumina contents (Parry and Reeves, 1968 McLean, et al., 1972). [Pg.151]

The resulting mixts are known as Picratols, Tetra-tols, Pentolites, Cyclotols, Ednatols, etc. Another development in the direction of binary and ternary expl mixts was the incorporation of A1 powder. These mixts, known as Aluminized Explosives, are described in Vol l,p A146-L and have pronounced increased blast effects(Ref 15)... [Pg.116]
