Alpha tool

An initial Alpha tool was developed to assess whether this type of video/audio information wottld be useful to LCS developers. The Alpha tool was based on Lim and Sato s (2006) software-based Design Information Framework (DIF), albeit in a non-software fonn. Analysis was conducted on 15 video and audio clips of British infantry on operations in Afghanistan using the following HF methods ... 

The Alpha tool was then assessed by ten LCS developers, and five stakeholders in LCS development (people who were involved in soldier equipmerrt development but not involved in the embodimertt of LCS prodncts) were interviewed in 13 sessions over a period of two and a half months. 

There are not currently any medications that have been approved for treatment of MDMA addiction. In actuality, very few drugs of abuse have possible medical (pharmaceutical) treatments. Heroin addiction is one disease that is treatable by pharmaceutical means. Heroin addiction is often treated with methadone or levo-alpha-acetyl methadol (LAAM) administration. Similarly, alcohol addiction may be treated with pharmacological tools. However, most stimulants, such as cocaine, amphetamine, and MDMA, do not have medications available for treatment of addiction. 

In many cases the NMR fascilities in universities and industry are equipped with spectrometers manufactured by companies other than Bruker/Spectrospin. The NMR data from Varian (Gemini and Unity), JEOL (Alpha, GX, EX and Lambda) and GE spectrometers may also be processed by ID WIN-NMR and 2D WIN-NMR provided that the data is first converted into WIN-NMR data format. The data should be transferred to a PC, preferably via an internal network, and then the appropriate routine in the GETFILE module is used for the conversion. To use this conversion tools a copy protection dongle (WIBU-key) - not delivered with this education package - must be installed on your PC. Measurement of radioactiviry, as an analytical tool became possible after the discoveries of A.H.Becquerel(uranium radiation 1896), Pi re Marie Curie (polonium radium in 1898), Sir E. Rutherford (identification of Becquerel rays as consisting of alpha-, beta and gamma-particles) and of F.Soddy(phenomenon of nuclear disintegration, in 1902)...

Once the coordinates of a molecule have been imported into RasMol, there are a number of analytical tools that can be used to visualize the many different interactions taking place within it. For instance, RasMol allows you to determine how many peptide chains there are in the protein, the positions of particular atoms within the protein, the positions of different ions and hydrophobic amino acids, alpha helices and beta sheets, the distance between two particular atoms or residues in the protein, points of contact between the protein and its ligands, the amino terminal and carboxy terminal amino acids, inter- and intramolecular disulfide bonds within the protein, and hydrogen bonds present between different atoms in the protein. 

But when unloading will be possible, it may turn out to be much more difficult than if it had been done in time specially so for the older submarines for which it may be necessary to rebuild infrastructure, to develop new procedures and tools (this is the case, for instance, for the Alpha class submarines).
