Aftershave gels

A polymeric quaternary ammonium salt of HEC, polyquatemium-24, in combination with certain primary surfactants, salts, and other viscosifying agents can be used as a thickener in personal care products such as shampoos, hair conditioners, creams, and aftershave gels. [Pg.131]

Aftershave gels also require an adjusted flow behaviour. They should be easily spreadable without running off the face before the shave. Microemulsions can be used to formulate clear aftershave gels with very good sensorical properties.
