Advanced cooling systems

It seems that the SOFC-GT hybrid system should not be equipped with advanced cooling systems for the turbine. 950°C, the adopted highest temperature at the inlet to the turbine (TIT), is admissible for the blade material in the near term.

The topic of electron transfer in jet-cooled systems has been reviewed several times in the past, in some cases with special attention to exciplex formation [3, 5]. These reviews covered the literature up to 1993 fairly extensively. We shall eoncen-trate on the main advances made since that time, while giving an overview of the current understanding of these systems. 

The most common medium for detector cooling is liquid nitrogen, however, recent advances in electrical cooling systems have made electrically refrigerated cryostats a viable alternative for many detector applications. 

To identify the main factors of safe work of the advanced melters EP-500/3,4, six years of experience using the melter EP-500/lp are summarized efficiency, technological deviations, and equipment failures, as well as violations of water-cooled system, off-gas system, control and measuring instruments that resulted in the temporary shut down of the vitrification process are studied.
