Adhesive strings where the diameter at the attachment point is less than 50% of the maximum dimension of the string. 

A cement slurry additive consisting of methylcellulose, melamine-formaldehyde resin, and trioxane has been proposed for better bonding of cement to the casing string [20]. Bisphenol-A epoxide resins, with amine-based curing agents, sand filler, and a mixture of n-butanol and dimethyl benzene as a diluent, have been proposed as additives to increase adhesion properties of cement [572]. 

Granulated fly ash [6] can substitute for Portland cement to an extent of 40% to 60%. Fly ash is used in granulated form and has a moisture content around 10% to 20%. The formulation can be used for cementing oil and gas wells within a temperature range of 20° to 250° C. The solution has reduced water absorption and increased sedimentation stability. A formulation [1388] is shown in Table 18-2. Hydrosil (Aerosil) is used to increase the adhesion of the produced cement rock to the casing string. It also reduces the density and water absorption.

The balls used in several sports (e.g., baseball) have cores wrapped with strings or yams, which are often held in place with adhesives containing -hexane (Huang et al. 1991). In the manufacture of truck and automobile tires, -hexane is a solvent in mixtures (called thinners ) used to adjust the viscosity of the rubber while it is being polymerized and formed into tires (Jorgensen and Chor 1981 ... 

Attach a piece of string with a label attached (similar to a luggage label) to one of the knotted ends of the tubing. Place the tubing into a bucket of distilled water, 4°C draping the label over the side. Attach label to bucket with adhesive tape. Loosely cover the bucket with a sheet of aluminum foil (or similar) to prevent unwanted material falling in. 

Copal, along with several other plant resins, can be powdered and melted for uses such as varnish, adhesive and in the manufiicture of linoleum. Copal is especially good as a varnish for oil paintings or musical string instruments. 

This virus species derived its name from the town of Coxsackie in the state of New York, where virological evidence thereof was successfully obtained for the first time. Coxsackie viruses are assigned to the picornavirus group, consisting at present of 23 A and 6 B types. Coxsackie hepatitis with mesenchymal reactions, portal infiltration and focal hepatocellular necrosis sometimes occurs, especially in infants. Cholestatic, predominantly centrolobular forms of the disease, can develop in adults. A lethal course is extremely rare. (66-68) The course of infection with the Coxsackie type B4 or B5 virus may give rise to the Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome with the development of the typical violin string-like adhesive strands.
