Adequate water

Euture large gasification plants, intended to produce ca 7 x 10 m standard (250 million SCE) of methane per day, are expected to be sited near a coal field having an adequate water supply. It is cheaper to transport energy in the form of gas through a pipeline than coal by either rail or pipeline. The process chosen is expected to utilize available coal in the most economical manner. 

Distribution system-This system should cover all facets of outside fire protection water demands in order to provide adequate water distribution for existing conditions and the possibility of plant expansion. 

Adequate water supplies for fire protection arc vital. Otlier utility services, such as electricity, must be reliable and well maintained during emergencies. Plants depending on outside electricity should liave two separate feeder circuits whenever possible, and possible failures of tlrese utilities should be evaluated before construction. When one system fails, tlie other system must provide suitable switching or shutdown to prevent serious hazards. 

An important practice to help prevent medication-related occlusion is adequate water flushing of the tube before, between, and after each medication is given through the tube. 

Once established, tea is not a very difficult crop to maintain. Some varieties withstand cold weather fairly well and this allows for a widespread growing area but with a primary requirement for adequate water. Tea can be successfully cultivated by the use of unsophisticated techniques, but also by the use of highly mechanized procedures. It is, therefore, viable in a wide diversity of economics. Tea is among the least expensive of beverages and can usually be provided at less than 0.03 per serving.

A common practice is to fix tissues in a small volume of fluid, much to the detriment of quality. If the fluid volume of the fixative is not adequate, water from the specimen will reduce its concentration sufficiently to slow diffusion. A ratio of 20 1 in the volume of fixative to the volume of the specimen will prevent that from happening. 

Water spray systems for hydrocarbon facilities are routinely specified because of the rapid application means the system can provide and the excellent heat absorption a water based system represents. Water sprays are also used when passive fire protection measures (i.e., fireproofing, spacing, etc.) cannot practically be utilized. If you have only a small number of fruit trees and bushes, you may be able to supply adequate water by watering can or handheld hose. Where this is impractical, the best solution is to install permanent irrigation lines of drip or seep hose (see also p.60). A mulch see below) applied in late spring will help conserve water.
