Zinn

Zinn hat als Reduktionsmittel wenig praktische Bedeutung. Da es ein mildes Reduk-tionsmittel darstellt, kann es jedoch immer dann eingesetzt werden, wenn es gilt, mild zu reduzieren (z.B. Herstellung von Thiolen). [Pg.707]

Wahrend 1,2-Diketone durch Zinn-Amalgam oder Zinn/Essigsaure zu a-Hydroxy-ketonen reduziert (Bd. VII/2c, S. 2188) werden und Chinone mit Zinn/Salzsaure oder besser Zinn(II)-chlorid/Salzsaure (s.Bd. VII/3c) Phenole (s. Bd. VI/lc, S. 566 ff. s.a. Bd. VII/3a, S. 652 zur alkylierenden Reduktion s. Bd. VT/le, S. 587) liefern, erhalt man aus 2,3-Dihydroxy-l,4-naphthochinonen 1,4-Dioxo-tetraline. [Pg.707]

Bewahrt hat sich Zinn/Salzsaure besonders zur Reduktion von Chinon-guanidinohy-drazonen (s. Bd. X/2, S. 223f.). [Pg.707]

Sulfochlorierte Polystyrole konnen durch Zinn/Salzsaure zu Mercapto-polystyro-len reduziert werden (s. Bd. XIV/2, S, 697). Ganz allgemein werden Thiole oft besser durch Reduktion von Disulfiden erhalten, wobei Zinn aufgrund seiner leichten Entfern-barkeit dem Zink oft vorzuziehen ist (s. Bd. IX, S. 23). [Pg.707]
