Open chain diarylheptanoids were isolated from Acer nicoense (Aceraceae), from Alnus and Betula species Betulaceae), from Alpinia, Curcuma and Zingiber species belonging to the family of gingers Zingiberaceae) and finally from certain Cenirolobium species (Leguminosae).
