The growth of zeolite X single crystals was reported by Ciric (30) and more recently in an interesting approach using nonaqueous solvents by Chamell (26), the latter resulting in 100-micron crystals of zeolite X. 

Generally, the phosphate zeolites crystallize in the form of large, near-single crystals of the order of 100 //, in size. However, for zeolite P-A, the crystal size was of the order of 1 to several /x. Single-crystal measurements were therefore possible for most of the phosphate zeolites. Photomicrographs of several of the phosphate zeolite crystals are shown in Figure 6.
