With Group IV elements

TRIOSMIUM CLUSTERS WITH GROUP IV ELEMENTS OTHER THAN CARBON... 

Impurity doping with group III elements (Al, Ga, In, B) or with group IV elements (Si,Ge, Ti Zr, or Hf) incorporated substitutionally on Zn-sites. Alternatively also group VII elements have been used such as F incorporated on an 0-site. The lowest values achieved today range at 1.5 - 2x 10 " Gem rather independent of the method of preparation. 

Transition Metal Pnictides and Compounds with Group IV Elements. 

The last subject to be discussed in this section is one found with Group IV elements, and probably also with many Group II elements (cf. mercury, Section IV, E)—neighboring group effects and participation. Hawthorne (192) has pointed out that y-halopropylboranes, produced by hydroboration of allyl halides, undergo basic hydrolysis to yield cyclopropanes. 

The chemistry of compounds containing phosphorus and Group IV elements other than carbon, has been much less explored than that of phosphorus with the latter element. In a distinction parallel to that made between organophosphorus and organic phosphorus compounds in Chapter 6.1, it is convenient to divide the compounds with Group IV elements into (a) those which contain a P-X bond (where X = Si, Ge, Sn or Pb), and (b) those which do not. In recent years, a special interest in compounds with P-Si linkages has developed [8].
