Queen white

Alchemists identified numerous symbolic pairs of opposites that need to be combined and transformed in the Great Work. The polarities are always masculine and feminine pairs, such as the Red King and White Queen, Sun and Moon, Gold and Silver, or Sulphur and Mercury. These pairs are listed in masculine and feminine columns in Table 5.1.

Mercury, as the spirit, is the Hfe-force, the Universal Soul in all things. It is passive, feminine, cold and watery, the eternal feminine, the Prima Materia—first matter, the matrix, the mother of all things. Unrefined, Mercury is symbolised by the dragon, the serpent, the Green Lion, and the white woman who, when exalted, becomes the White Queen or the White Lion, the unicorn, or the Moon called Luna and Diana, the virgin divinity in Nature. 

Released from their limited state, both Principles can be purified and reconciled, whereafter their sacred union can occur. This is the chemical wedding of the Red King and the White Queen. The child of their union is the transcendent androgenous child, spirit ensouled the immortal spiritualised soul described in the title of an anonymous i8 b century alchemical tome as The Hermaphrodite Child of the Sun and the Moon.

Start with Kether. Then work on Chokmah for two days, on Binah for two days, and so on. As you descend the Tree, ensure that you maintain the visualization of the preceding sephira in its proper color. Do not let it slip back into white. In this way, by the time you reach Malkuth, you will be able to hold the entire Tree in the Queen Scale. 

Finish by visualizing the entire Tree within your aura for a while. Picture the Sephiroth in the Queen Scale and the connecting Paths in white light. This serves as a powerful image of integrated relationship on all levels of being. Close the session with the Qabalistic Cross. 

The Sephiroth of the Tree change into the Queen Scale of Briah and, simultaneously, you see that the field of the phoenix shield that hangs over the door to the chapel, is changed from white to azure. And within the chapel, the royal orb, cushioned upon the altar, is now formed of precious blue sapphire. 

Jeanne was the impresario who elevated this mad idea into one of those scenes where life outbids art. Drawing on a famous portrait of Marie-Antoinette by Madame Vigee-Lebrun printed on the back of a jewelry box, Jeanne used her milliner s skills to turn Nicole into the queen, wearing a simple white dress, without any ornament on her head other than her hair dressed in the fashion of the time and the two ringlets which, on either side, fell to her neck. ...
