Alchemy is one of the most mysterious arts practiced in the Western Mystery Tradition partly because it has a rich use of allegorical symbols and images. In this article we get a chance to explore those symbols and images as a means of understanding alchemy on a practical and spiritual level. This article is just an introduction to the rich art of Alchemical Images for use in the ancient tradition, and hopefully will stimulate the read to further reading into this "royal art" of the Hermetic Arts"...

On the other hand, just any old belief will not work if you aren t able to grant it at least the status of a probability, a working hypothesis. I have found my most useful hypotheses within the structure of what I believe are three analogous templates for human consciousness, the Shamanic worldview, the Western Mystery Tradition and Analytic (Jungian) Psychology. Meanwhile, chemical innovation goes on. Expectations are set, confidences shared, submissions to Government made, and work proceeds normally with research and development. The working esoteric tradition of the West is often referred to as the Mysteries. The term mystery is used in the theological sense, where a mystery is a spiritual reality that transcends normal reasoning. The ultimate goal of the Mysteries is divinization our complete and utter identification with the All-That-ls, the One Reality. In many Eastern traditions, this is called enlightenment. In the Western tradition, it is called illumination.

Lester Dent (1905-1959) was author of over a hundred Doc Savage pulp stories written under the name of Kenneth Robeson. He also wrote numerous Western, air-war, detective, and mystery stories.
