Apparatus. Quantitation of color developed in the microwells was achieved by a Vmax Reader (Molecular Devices Corp., Palo Alto, California). Standard curve using semi-log curve fit and unknown calculations were accomplished by using the software program Softmax provided by the manufacturer. The Ultrawasher II (Dynatech Laboratories Alexandria, Virginia) was used to wash the wells. [Pg.212]

Simulations of the behavior of these mixtures and of the results obtained after an equilibrium time limited to represent real washing time were carried out with the software program called TOT. A few examples follow ... [Pg.536]

The autosampler system is controlled by an IBM computer system, as is the series of pumps for the cell and the sample wash pot. An Archer single board computer (Sherwood Data System) programmed via ASCII strings along an RS232 interface, controls the pumps and the autosampler, setting up a stable representative sample which is then measured by using the standard Solomat software and hardware. [Pg.224]

The PC Work Station is an MS-DOS-based computer. The menu-driven software contains chemical protocols and scaling algorithms that automate the synthesis of a wide range of synthesis scales. When a new quantity of support is specified, the scaling algorithms are automatic. The program calculates the number of excess of monomers, volume of solvents, duration of wash steps, number of times and cycle time to be used in the synthesis and also implements the new parameters. These new or user specified parameters are incorporated into a synthesis control file that contains sequential synthesis steps. The synthesis control file may be executed in either Direct Control (On-Line) or Down-Load mode from the System Control Module. [Pg.441]
