Virtual reality advantages

Virtual reality is a manifestation of the increased blurring of the distinction between "solid reality" and the stuff of dreams, thoughts, and the mind. The malleable, rapidly transmuting world into which we re moving is one in which acidheads should have a distinct type of advantage, having already experienced the plasticity and variability of the realities of the mind. [Pg.49]

We make the ensemble average of Eq. (6.7) and suppose that t are decoupled so that each t is replaced by i. In reality, in Eq. (6.7) only immediately successive indices caimot repeat, and the first corrections are of third order in the I matrix this is an advantage with respect to the ensemble average of Eq. (6.4) in the virtual crystal approximation (VCA), because first corrections would be of second order in the w matrix. In the ATA we replace each by I in Eq. (6.7) the result corresponds to Eq. (6.4) with w = t/(l -F GooO- We obtain... [Pg.173]

DMU is a core method in CE in the aerospace industry for assembly examination, layout examination, interference checking, and maintainability (see Chap. 13). Based on complete CAD data and a powerful PDM system, DMU can be created synchronously with each design activity. Based on advantages of DMU, the use of the Physical Mock-up has been reduced dramatically over the past years. Beside of standard monitors, many diff erent graphics devices are used for graphical output in aerospace industry (mobile devices, virtual, augmented and mixed reality). [Pg.587]
