Two main phytogeographical units could be detected by the vegetation classification, the highlands in the central area, and the lowlands in the north-north-eastern borders of the biome. The paper describes the different chemical sensors and mathematical methods applied and presents the review of electronic tongue application for quantitative analysis (heavy metals and other impurities in river water, uranium in former mines, metal impurities in exhaust gases, ets) and for classification and taste determination of some beverages (coffee, bear, juice, wines), vegetable oil, milk, etc. [1].

Work on the solubility was continued by Osborne to produce the classifications of vegetable proteins that are still used. Studies of the solubility of proteins remains important both in characterising and purifying proteins. 

An attempt has been made to classify gums into two main groups (a) real gums which are those plant products which form a clear solution in water and (b) vegetable mucilages which are those which swell but do not dissolve completely in water. This classification is useful but not entirely satisfactory since there are exceptions. Thus gum traga-canth, a tree exudate and a true plant gum, is only partially soluble in water and exhibits those properties normally attributed to mucilages. In this section of the article the term plant gum will be restricted to those complex acid polysaccharides which are exuded from trees either spontaneously or after mechanical injury.
