1 SRR This strategy was first proposed by Ganem [26] and involves the replacement of one reactant with a different reactant that shows the same essential reactivity with other reagents, carrying ont the same role in the reaction mechanism (Fig. 1.3). This approach has been demonstrated to be a valuable tool, providing different final addncts by incorporating additional functionalities in the reactants. [Pg.4]
