User Generated Content

Some of the cosmographies do not host much of their content themselves, but rather import it from third-party collators of user-generated content. Google Maps and Google Earth, for example, incorporate photographs that people upload to Panoramio.com and comments that people upload to Tripadvisor.com. 

This study will add to the small, but growing body of literature on participatory journalism. To date, there have not been any studies that have examined markers of credibility on participatory journalism sites, so this would be the first. This study will also help those creating participatory journalism sites understand how to make their sites more credible to users. User created content is becoming more prevalent on the web, and studies aimed at examining this phenomenon will be needed to understand this new generation of content creators. This study is just the first, of many possible studies, that will look at this growing trend of online content creation. 

Proliferation of ubiquitous access to the Internet enables millions of Web users to collaborate online in a variety of activities. Many of these activities result in the construction of large repositories of knowledge, either as their primary aim (e.g., Wikipedia) or as a by-product (e.g., Yahoo Answers). In this paper, we discuss how to use the cornucopia of world knowledge encoded in the repositories of collaboratively generated content (CGC) for advancing computers ability to process human language. 

Aerosol products are hermetically sealed, ensuring that the contents caimot leak, spill, or be contaminated. The packages can be considered to be tamper-proof. They deUver the product in an efficient manner generating Httie waste, often to sites of difficult access. By control of particle size, spray pattern, and volume deUvered per second, the product can be appHed directiy without contact by the user. For example, use of aerosol pesticides can minimize user exposure and aerosol first-aid products can soothe without applying painful pressure to a wound. Spray contact lens solutions can be appHed directiy and aerosol lubricants (qv) can be used on machinery in operation. Some preparations, such as stable foams, can only be packaged as aerosols. 

The goals of flexibility without complication and minimum software maintenance were achieved largely through the use of data resource files, the report generator, and the transform utility. These features are invisible to the casual user who is content with the standard report form and transform setup provided him. The more advanced user, however, can easily access all data, customize reports, and perform unique transformations.
