Subject to the following provisions, inspection teams will have the right during an inspection to use approved equipment brought onto the inspection site  [Pg.227]

The items of equipment available on-site, not belonging to the Organisation which the inspected State Party has volunteered to provide to the inspection team upon its request for use on-site during the conduct of inspections together with any procedures for the use of such equipment, if required, any requested support which can be provided and conditions for the provision of equipment are listed in Part B of Attachment 5. Prior to any use of such equipment the inspection team may confirm that the performance characteristics of such equipment are consistent with those for similar OPCW approved equipment, or - with respect to items of equipment which are not on the list of OPCW approved equipment - are consistent with the intended purpose for using such equipment. [Pg.315]

Sample collection will generally be conducted by the inspected State Party (during investigations of alleged use (IAU), the inspection team may collect the samples itself), however, the IT may collect the sample(s) if agreed in advance between the inspected State Party and the IT [VA.II.52], The IT has the right to conduct sample analysis using its own approved equipment or it may witness analysis performed by the inspected State Party [VA.II.53]. This leads to two different concepts for on-site analysis as laid out below. [Pg.10]
