Urine nitrosamines

Analysis of nitrosamines in urine of rats collected for 24 hours following administration of 0.59 ymoles/kg NDPA, NHPPA or NOPPA. Results are presented as the mean S.E.M. for 3 separate experiments, each using the combined urine from two rats. (20). 

There have been some preliminary reports of nitrosamines being found in normal humans, in blood (, 35), and in urine (36). The precise origin of these substances, if their presence is confirmed, is not fully understood at this time. 

In the second, >100 DBFs were identified in indoor chlorinated and brominated pools, including many nitrogenous DBFs (haloamides, halonitriles, haloanilines, haloamines, haloanisoles, and halonitro-compounds), likely due to the nitrogen-containing precursors from swimmers (urine, sweat, etc.) [143]. Trichloramine and THMs were also measured in the pool air [143]. Nitrosamines have been measured in chlorinated pools and hot tubs, up to a maximum of429 ng/L...

Toxic substances. Among other toxic substances, several nitrocompounds and nitrosamines have been determined in the blood and urine of individuals exposed to such toxic substances. As an example, the determination of 2,4-dinitrophenol< ) in the urine of humans working in the production of picric acid can be mentioned.
