Unhappiness

Selinene is still another case of unhappy nomenclature. The natural, body is first known as selinene. The regenerated sesquiterpene is termed ortho-tt-selinene, and because the natural, originally named selinene does, not agree with the artificial body, it is now called psewdo-selinene .

Depression is one of the most common psychiatric disorders. It is characterized by feeling of intense sadness, helplessness, worthlessness, and impaired functioning. Those experiencing a major depressive episode exhibit physical and psychological symptoms, such as appetite disturbances, sleep disturbances, and loss of interest in job, family, and other activities usually enjoyed. A major depressive episode is a depressed or dysphoric (extreme or exaggerated sadness, anxiety, or unhappiness) mood that interferes with daily functioning and includes five or more of the symptoms listed in Display 31-1.

V unhappy According to utilitarians, we should choose to do that which creates the greatest amount of good (happiness) for the greatest number of people. This can be difficult to determine, though, because sometimes an act can create short-term happiness but misery in the long term. Another problematic aspect of utilitarianism is that it (20) deems it acceptable—indeed, even necessary—to use another person as a means to an end and sacrifice the happiness of one or a few for the happiness of many. 

A new study by three environmental chemists in Canada is the first to measure the levels of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) in the environment. PBDEs are commonly used as fire retardants in plastics, and have been found by the researchers to be accumulating rapidly in animals in the Arctic. Clyde Mood Scale. The Clyde Mood Scale test may be used as either a self-rated or observer-rated scale. It contains 48 items to measure mood and has been shown to be sensitive to medicine effects. The test takes 5 to 15 minutes to complete and measures the immediate present in a patient or normal individual. The test gives six scores friendly, aggressive, clear-thinking, sleepy, unhappy, and dizzy.
