TTyperChem can perform qiiantnm mechanics MO calculations on molecules con laming 1 00 or more atoms. There Is no restriction on the n umber of atom s. but larger structures may require excessive computing times and computer main mem-... [Pg.33]

AtomTypeMass is set to the nam e of th e file that lists the atom types associated with the force field and their masses (masses are associated with a type h ere not an atomic n umber). Th e file can have any name hut by convention isnamed, for example, as amheiTyp.txtfdbn. [Pg.199]

HyperCh em in eludes sem i-em pirical param eters for all th e atom s with atom ie Ti umbers less than oi equal to 54 and can perform calculation s on an y molecule com posed of on ly those atom s. I ll e few restriction s or exception s to this rule will be poin ted out as appropriate, Nevertheless, the probability of having appropriate parameters for a random calculation are much h igher for sem i-cmpirical calculations than for molecular niechan ies calculations. [Pg.216]

The amount of computation for MP2 is determined by the partial tran si ormatioii of the two-electron integrals, what can be done in a time proportionally to m (m is the u umber of basis functions), which IS comparable to computations involved m one step of(iID (doubly-excitcil eon figuration interaction) calculation. fo save some computer time and space, the core orbitals are frequently omitted from MP calculations. For more details on perturbation theory please see A. S/abo and N. Ostlund, Modem Quantum (. hern-isir > Macmillan, Xew York, 198.5. [Pg.238]

Iron Oxides. In addition to the black iron oxide, there are several natural and synthetic yellow, brown, and red oxides. As a class, they provide inexpensive but dull, lightfast, chemically resistant, and nontoxic colors. The natural products ate known as ocher, sieima, umber, hematite, and limonite. These include varying amounts of several impurities in particular, the umbers contain manganese. Their use is limited because of low chroma, low tinting strength, and poor gloss retention. [Pg.458]

Naturally occurring colored minerals that contain oxides of iron are known by such names as ochre [1309-37-1], umber [12713-03-0], sienna [1309-37-1], etc. These show greater variation in color and tinting power than the synthetic equivalents, and the nature and amount of impurities in the national products is also variable. Most of the pigments identified in Table 9 are, therefore, manufactured synthetically. They are primarily used in skin-makeup products and in eye-area colorants. [Pg.293]

Consider again the simple motion of a sphere. In this case, the equivalent diameter of a sphere, d, is equal to its geometric diameter, d. Equating the above expressions and replacing 5 by d (and denoting the Euler umber, Eu, by Y), we obtain an expression for the resistance force ... [Pg.294]
