Typical facilities

An indication of the flexibility imparted by computer control of such a spectrometer is given in the following list of typical facilities for spectra acquisition, display, storage and analysis. 

Checklist or Worksheet - A standardized listing which identifies common protection features required for typical facilities is compared against the facility design and operation. Risks are expressed by the omission of safety systems or system features. 

GFCI protection is set to open a circuit at a current of 5 mA. The GFCI is not intended for equipment protection but is strictly for personal protection. Figure 5.5 illustrates a typical facility power-grounding scheme.

Stack emissions represent close to 100% of the air emissions associated with an environmental release. Of the stack emissions, the overwhelming majority of these are contained in the dust collection system exhaust. In 1996 stack emissions (total dust) averaged 4521b per typical facilities. However, the actual total dust emissions experienced by individual facilities may range from a high of 13271b to a minimum of 63 lb.

X 10 n/sec. The neutron spectrum of this source is similar to that of reactor neutrons, and therefore, for practical applications, the source is placed in a moderator or thermalizer. The useful thermal-neutron flux density available in a typical facility is about 3 x 10 n/(cm -sec). 

The solution and solid-state structures of the dicarbonyls have been discussed at length and the same conclusions reached as for alkene complexes (Section III-B. 1) viz. (i) mixtures of 4-(jc -Tp ) and 5-coordinate (jc -Tp ) isomers exist in solution (ii) dynamic exchange of the pyrazole rings, involving both isomers, is typically facile at ambient temperature (iii) the electronic and steric nature of the pyrazole... 

It would appear that adding this element to the updated standard would greatly increase the number of covered facilities. But the work needed to be done at a typical facility would not be all that high. The main focus would be on the integrity of pressure relief systems.
