Types of Light Stabiliser

It is often advisable to use more than one type of light stabiliser in the same formulation, although they can interact. Most are expensive, but they are considered worthwhile in most plastics applications, except in transient products such as food wrap. 

Finally, most light stabilisers are chemically reactive and some have caused toxic effects in tests on animals, but they are normally used at very low concentrations.
