Tumors slide preparation

Preparation of FFPE Tissue Slides for Solid Tumor FISH Analysis... [Pg.68]

There are biorepositories that blindly bank tissues without preparing histological or cryosections. We recommend that all tissues entered into a biorepository, frozen or otherwise, be sectioned for microscopic examination. The presence and amount of tumor can be assessed in each sample. Do not assume that just because something is labeled tumor that it is tumor/diseased. A small tip permanent marker can be used to circle areas on the slide for laser capture, scraping, and also, a date and study code can be recorded to indicate when material was utilized from the corresponding block. [Pg.216]
