Training course content development

To update the course content of these training programs periodically in order to keep pace with new developments and the operations involved. [Pg.445]

Course development has been strongly influenced throughout the history of the Department by the needs of the industries concerned for a supply of appropriately trained graduates. It is important to note that changes in course content preceded formal changes in departmental structure described above. [Pg.241]

The emergence of HCI in India occurred in the early 1990s [3]. However by the mid nineties the only Indian software companies that were employing professional user interface designers were multimedia content developers which could not be considered to be in the mainstream of software development. A few large software services companies offered a course on graphical user interfaces in their training schedule, but the quality of these courses was often poor. HCI was rarely taken seriously or applied in projects. [Pg.88]

Matrix-matched CRMs are increasingly needed for a range of environmental matrices, elements or compounds, including materials certified for of>erationally-defined parameters (e.g. extractable trace element contents). Finally, training on the preparation of LRMs and use of CRMs should be systematised in the framework of accreditation systems. Such courses already exist [46] but are not fitted for purpose with respect to accreditation they should involve advice on how to develop LRMs versus CRMs, use RMs in sectorial proficiency testing (e.g. environmental monitoring) etc. [Pg.209]
