Property Titling. Property (such as stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, or real estate) held in joint tenancy with rights of survivorship automatically passes to the joint owner upon your death. This property is not subject to probate. If the property was acquired before 1977, the property s full value is included in your estate for tax purposes. For property acquired after that date, only your share of the property is included in your estate. Property held as tenancy in common does not follow these rules. In this case, you can leave your share to whomever you wish and it is subject to probate. [Pg.243]

For the environmental engineer, this handbook provides extensive technical data on toxic chemical properties and detailed instructional aid on how to properly prepare toxic chemical release inventory reporting. The volume contains numerous examples on preparing SARA Title III chemical release reports and provides a compendium of State and Regional contacts within the Environmental Protection Agency. [Pg.320]

A good deal of work has been done on polymeric crown ethers during the last decade. Hogen Esch and Smid have been major contributors from the point of view of cation binding properties, and Blasius and coworkers have been especially interested in the cation selectivity of such species. Montanari and coworkers have developed a number of polymer-anchored crowns for use as phase transfer catalysts. Manecke and Storck have recently published a review titled Polymeric Catalysts , which may be useful to the reader in gaining additional perspective. [Pg.276]

A large number of 1,2,4-triazines that are condensed with one or more heterocycles are well known and a wide variety of synthetic methods for their preparations are available. Compounds containing the 1,2,4-triazine moiety are in use as pharmaceuticals, dyes, pesticides, herbicides, etc., and a great number of reports have been directed to the synthesis of the title heterocycles having potentially useful biological properties. [Pg.41]

Butadiene is rather endothermic (AH°f (g) +111.9 kJ/mol, 2.07 kJ/g) and will decompose explosively if heated under pressure at 30-40°C/min to exceed critical temperatures of 200-324°C and critical pressures of 1.0-1.2 kbar simultaneously [4], A more recent study of the explosion properties of butadiene at elevated temperatures and pressures has been published (but title only translated)... [Pg.502]
