Potassium titanium oxalate is used extensively for both mordanting and dyeing of leather, giving various shades from yellow to brown. The lactates of titanium under the trade name " corichrome n are used in the leather industry both as mordants and strikers. 1 The use of titanium salts in dyeing leather does not produce so brittle a product as iron salts.
