TIN Symmetric Tetraorganotin Compounds

This chapter comprises organotin derivatives with four identical groups attached to tin. The symmetric tetraorganotin compounds listed in Tables 97 through 99 are prepared by methods from the following scheme. 

II Synthesis from tin tetrachloride and alkyl lithium in diethyl ether or other solvents  

IV Alkylation of stannous fluoride with ethylene, hydrogen and aluminum in presence of triethylaluminum catalyst at 200 in autoclave.
