Time-dependent drift definition

According to the definitions given in Table 1.1 the transit time can be maximized by minimizing the active region thickness, by increasing bias to the maximum in the drift velocity dependence on electric field and by choosing semiconductor material with larger carrier mobility. In Part HI the response time is considered in more detail, connected with specific types of photodetectors.
